Pseudopod made me laugh with a story called Sick Day. It reminds me the day last week when I noticed virgin snow covering a section of a train platform and planted careful footsteps to the very edge of the platform, the kind that might be left by a person jumping under the train.

5-A-Day Lite

5-A-Day is an Ubuntu effort where everybody involved deals with 5 different bugs every day. 5 seems like a lot, if a person is also having work and life in addition of Ubuntu and from the project stats one can see in the last 7 days only 4 of the project participants reached 5 bugs a day. How much time it takes probably varies hugely depending on the action taken and the bug, but I'm really curious about the time spend and number of bugs dealt with by an average 5-A-Day volunteer.

Also, I'm hoping there would be "5-A-Day Lite", maybe 1-A-Day, to get people who are too busy for the time five bugs take to deal with a measly one bug a day, everyday. That too might make a difference. Currently, a solid 1-A-Day participant would make it to the 5-A-Day top contributors list easily.

Disassembling your ill Roomba

If your Roomba is ill, you might want to disassemble it to see what might cure it... or just two see what makes it tick. I partially disassembled and reassembled our Lo (as in Robot, when said with a Japanese accent) in order to perform some more serious de-dusting. Only afterwards I found a good set of images showing how to do it properly.

Lo did not mind, though. It's now dutifully vacuuming the hallway.
